Pasadena police said two brazen robbers armed with hammers committed a smash and grab robbery at a T-Mobile store in the 1200 block of North Lake Avenue Monday evening.
The pair were seen by an alert T-Mobile employee before they entered the store at about 6:21, police said.
The employee hit the alarm, but the thieves were able to smash cases, grab merchandise and flee very quickly. Pasadena police Lt. Anthony Burgess said the robbers grabbed about $5,000 worth of products before fleeing southbound on Lake Avenue.
The loss was described as four watches, an iPad and three cellphones.
The description of the suspects was minimal, he said. One suspect wore a dark hoodie, the other a light-colored hoodie.
Both suspects remain at large, Burgess said.
