Student Athlete Lab, the organization known for honing young minds and bodies in preparing the student athlete for the next level of collegiate scholarship opportunities, is now set to hone the consciousness of its student athlete members as well. Student Athlete Lab will kick off their fundraising season by directing their fundraising campaign with the environmentally friendly Plant Trees 4 Life.
Said Executive Vice President and trainer of Student Athlete Lab Darrel Reece, “By choosing a fundraiser that raises environmental consciousness, it furthers the Student Athlete Lab mission statement of student first and athlete second.â€
Darrel added “Plant Trees 4 Life made the most sense for our organization in that by supporting our group fundraising effort, it’s also supporting the non-profit Sugar Pine Foundation, helping rescue the nearly extinct Sugar Pine Tree, educating our student athletes on the environment, purchasing a gift and saving the world……a true teachable moment.â€
Craig Stover, president of Student Athlete Lab added “SA Lab wanted to make a conscious effort to do things differently this year. Plant Trees 4 Life really fits in well with our goals of helping to make a contribution in the greening of our planet and in raising awareness. Our student athletes can really learn from this and hopefully carry this with them as they move on to the next level. We all need to begin in helping to make a difference and with the help of Plant Trees 4 Life, we can begin that journey with our family at Student Athlete Lab.â€
