“Nina brings a thoughtful combination of professional expertise and commitment to the community,” Debra Manners, president and CEO of Sycamores, said in the announcement. “We are pleased to welcome her to the Sycamores Board and look forward to the perspective and experience she will contribute as we continue our work to help children, young adults and families create a better life.”
Golshan has been a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association since 2021 and the Pasadena Bar Association since 2023, according to the firm. Golshan holds a law degree from the UCLA School of Law. She earned a bachelor’s degree, cum laude, from New York University’s College of Arts and Sciences. She is admitted to practice in California.
“I wanted to get involved with Sycamores because of its deep roots in the communities it serves and its incredible work providing critical resources, support and care to those who need it most,” Golshan said in the announcement. “It’s clear how dedicated everyone at Sycamores is to that mission, and I’m looking forward to contributing to its continued impact as a Board member.”
Sycamores traces its start to 1902, when Pasadena resident Fannie Rowland founded the city’s first orphanage, the Pasadena Children’s Training Society, according to the organization. It has an office at 851 N. Oakland Ave. in Pasadena, a campus in Altadena and a main office in Los Angeles. Its services include residential treatment, transitional living assistance for young adults, outpatient and school-based mental health services, and mobile crisis outreach, the organization said.
