Temperatures to Approach 90 Degrees by Midweek

Published on Sunday, October 26, 2025 | 6:03 am

Pasadena is poised for a warm-up beginning Sunday, with temperatures expected to climb steadily through midweek, reaching highs near 90 degrees by Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service station in Oxnard.

The shift follows a cool, foggy start to the weekend, as a ridge of high pressure builds over the region. Forecasters anticipate clear skies and dry conditions throughout the week, with no precipitation expected.

Sunday’s forecast calls for patchy morning fog clearing by late morning, followed by partly sunny skies and a high near 75 degrees. Winds will remain light, generally calm to southwest at around 5 mph. Overnight lows are expected to dip to about 53 degrees under clear skies.

Monday will bring slightly warmer conditions, with highs near 79 degrees and calm north-northeast breezes shifting to the northwest in the afternoon. Overnight temperatures will remain mild, around 58 degrees.

By Tuesday, the warming trend intensifies. Highs are forecast to reach approximately 89 degrees, with light northeasterly winds early in the day turning breezy from the northwest later. Wednesday is expected to be the peak of the warm spell, with highs near 90 degrees.

Temperatures will begin to moderate Thursday and Friday, with daytime highs returning to the mid-80s. Overnight lows throughout the week will range from the upper 50s to around 60 degrees.

Wind conditions will remain light and variable, shaped by daily heating and local topography. Afternoon onshore breezes of 5 to 10 mph are expected, with light northeast winds overnight and in the early mornings. Gusts up to 15 mph are possible in foothill areas Monday night through midweek.

The weekend outlook remains favorable for outdoor activities, with highs near 85 to 86 degrees and mostly clear skies continuing through Saturday. Overnight lows will stay mild, around 59 degrees.

For Pasadena residents, the upcoming stretch will resemble late summer more than late October. While the dry, sunny weather supports outdoor events and fall markets, forecasters advise caution regarding fire safety as lower humidity and light offshore breezes return midweek.

No weather advisories or warnings are currently in effect for the Pasadena area, according to the National Weather Service.
