The announcement, made following a unanimous vote by the Foundation’s Board, signals a strategic shift aimed at expanding impact and deepening engagement across the Christian philanthropic landscape.
Thomas, who previously served as chief development officer, will oversee the Foundation’s charitable giving and investment management services.
Her responsibilities include setting strategic direction, cultivating client relationships and aligning operations with the Foundation’s mission to serve Fuller Theological Seminary and the broader Christian community.
In a concurrent move, Brian Rietze has been named chief operating officer while retaining his role as chief financial officer.
Rietze will manage day-to-day operations and ensure financial and administrative systems support the Foundation’s long-term goals.
“These appointments mark a pivotal moment for The Fuller Foundation,” said Board Chair Bob Ceremsak. “Thomas and Rietze are proven leaders whose expertise, integrity and passion for Christian stewardship will strengthen our impact for years to come.”
Thomas joined the Foundation in 2019 and has led initiatives to grow assets under management and expand donor engagement.
Her background spans nonprofit leadership, financial services and resource development.
Rietze has served the Foundation since 2012, first as controller and later as CFO, where he oversaw financial, audit and tax functions for both TFF and Fuller Investing.
The Fuller Foundation administers endowments and donor-advised funds for Fuller Seminary, while also offering faith-aligned investment and legacy planning services to Christian individuals, families and ministries globally.
