Today’s forecast calls for mostly sunny skies and a high near 94, with light south winds shifting southwest at 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon. Tonight will be partly cloudy with a low around 65.
Forecasters said Tuesday will be mostly sunny with a high near 95. Winds will remain calm in the morning before turning southwest around 5 mph later in the day. Wednesday is expected to be hotter, with highs near 96 under mostly sunny skies. Overnight lows will stay in the mid-60s.
Temperatures will continue to rise through Thursday, reaching a high near 98. Overnight lows will remain warm, between 64 and 67, above seasonal averages. The heat is being driven by a strong high-pressure system over the Southwest.
No rain is forecast for Pasadena this week. Skies will remain mostly clear, with only occasional patchy clouds at night. Winds will stay light, generally from the southwest at 5 to 10 mph.
The weekend outlook calls for sunny skies and highs between 94 and 95 each day. Lows will remain mild, around 67. Slight cooling is expected early next week as marine layer clouds deepen along the coast.
Looking ahead, temperatures are expected to ease slightly next week, with highs trending closer to seasonal norms in the upper 80s to low 90s. Increased cloud cover may bring some relief from the persistent heat.
Residents are advised to stay hydrated and limit outdoor activity during peak afternoon hours as the city faces several days of above-normal heat.
