The Law Offices of Donald P. Schweitzer, a Pasadena family law firm, announced today the promotion of Kayla Horacek to partner.

Horacek is a certified family law specialist and is minor’s counsel accredited. She has extensive experience in business evaluations, complex property division and child custody issues, especially pertaining to high asset clients. In addition to her certification as a family law specialist, Horacek was formerly a behavioral technician for children with autism—a combination that provides her with a deeper understanding for legal issues involving a special needs child.

Horacek completed her undergraduate studies at Santa Clara University and graduated summa cum laude, receiving her bachelor of arts in English literature. She attended Southwestern University School of Law and was admitted to the California State Bar in 2005. Horacek is a member of the Pasadena Bar Association and Los Angeles County Bar Association. She represents pro bono clients through the Harriet Buhai Center for Family Law.
