On Sunday, May 5, Chef Anthony Zappola of The Royce Wood-Fired Steakhouse participated in a charity event called Flavors of Los Angeles at Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel. The event highlighted 12 of the best chefs and restaurants in Los Angeles. The event included a silent auction and dinner, where each chef prepared a five-course meal tableside for one of 12 tables. Chef Zappola prepared Beef Carpaccio, Maine Lobster Bisque, Warm Kale Salad, Frilled Hawaiian Swordfish, Brandt Farm Cote de Boeuf, and two desserts: Chocolate Layered Mousse Cake and Brioche Bread Pudding. The dinner was a success and guests thoroughly enjoyed the evening!
The event benefitted the American Liver Foundation, which provides support groups, education, advocacy and life-saving research to improve the quality of life for patients coping with liver disease.
