My father used to say that buying a good suit is an investment. Nothing looks worse on a man than an ill-fitting suit. Except maybe choosing the wrong tie.
Many fall victim to “ugly tie syndrome,” no matter how well-tailored or expensive the fabric of his suit is. To avoid falling for this fashion faux pas, it’s best to ask the assistance of a good menswear store like Mark Piscitelli’s.
The store’s doors are always open to teach people how to tie a tie, but for one special night, Piscitelli’s will have a special tying event for everyone. From tying newbies, to the more experienced tie-wearer looking to add panache to his tying skills.
On May 25, Mark Piscitelli’s will have a tying event from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. where anyone is welcome to come in and try out a bowtie or regular tie.
The event will be an introduction to tying a tie, starting with the basics to showing off the many fun and different ways to tie a tie.
Piscitelli’s will also have music and refreshments for guests.
Mark Piscitelli’s is located at 589 E Green St., or you can call ahead to set an appointment or to ask questions at (626) 578-7382.
