
Remnants of Tropical Storm Mario are expected to bring rainfall and possible thunderstorms to Pasadena beginning late Wednesday night, with peak rainfall likely Thursday, according to the National Weather Service.
Temperatures will drop from a high near 94 degrees Wednesday to around 85 degrees Thursday, while humidity increases significantly. Forecasters expect between 0.5 and 0.75 inches of rain Thursday, with isolated areas possibly receiving more than an inch.
Tuesday will be the warmest day of the week, with a high near 96 degrees. Skies will clear gradually after morning fog and cloud cover. Winds will shift from light and variable to southwest at 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon.
Wednesday’s forecast calls for partly sunny skies and a high near 94 degrees. A 30% chance of showers and thunderstorms begins after 11:00 p.m. as tropical moisture moves northward. Overnight lows will be near 64 degrees.
Thursday is expected to be the most active weather day of the week. The National Weather Service predicts a 60% chance of showers and thunderstorms throughout the day. Winds will come from the south-southeast at 5 to 10 mph.
Rain chances will continue into Friday morning, with a 40% chance of showers and storms. Highs will remain in the low-to-mid 80s before warming resumes over the weekend.
Saturday and Sunday are forecast to be dry and sunny, with highs reaching 86 and 89 degrees, respectively. Nighttime lows will remain in the low-to-mid 60s.
Looking ahead, Monday is expected to be sunny with a high near 91 degrees. A developing marine layer may bring morning cloudiness, but no precipitation is forecast.
Pasadena will shift from hot and dry conditions to cooler, humid weather as Mario’s remnants pass through. Dry conditions are expected to return by the weekend.
