The City Council will meet in two public meetings on Monday.
First the City Council will hold a joining meeting with Supervisor Kathryn Barger at 4 p.m. in Council Chambers.
The meeting usually focuses on major community topics.
The joint meeting was originally scheduled for March but was canceled.
Barger represents the Board of Supervisors Fifth District, which includes 22 cities and 87 unincorporated communities, including Altadena and Pasadena, as well as other parts of the San Gabriel Valley and the San Fernando Valleys. Covering 2,800 square miles, the Fifth District is larger than all the other supervisorial districts combined.
The first item on the agenda will be an update on the collaboration between Pasadena and Los Angeles County to acquire a property for mental health services and affordable housing projects, followed by a Los Angeles County Public Works update on the Devil’s Gate Reservoir Restoration Project and its long-term management plan, and an information-only item about cold weather resources for homeless people in Pasadena and the San Gabriel Valley.
At 5:30 p.m. the Council will hold its regular meeting. The agenda includes the consent calendar, a proposed soccer match next month in the Rose Bowl and a loan to the Rose Bowl Operating Company for the Brookside Golf Course Improvement Project.
