Two men were arrested on weapons charges after a traffic stop in Pasadena on Thursday, July 6.
The incident occurred at approximately 4 p.m. at the intersection of El Sereno Avenue and Washington Boulevard.
According to Lt. Derek Locklin, officers observed a vehicle driving in the area and saw the driver commit a traffic violation.
Locklin said that as the traffic stop was initiated, officers approached the vehicle and saw numerous open alcohol containers inside.
The suspects, identified as Derek Brown, 38, of Palmdale, and Andrew Revada, 38, of Pasadena, were asked to exit the vehicle.
During the subsequent investigation, officers located a loaded 9mm handgun inside, according to Locklin.
Both suspects were arrested and booked into the Los Angeles County Jail on charges of carrying a concealed weapon and possessing a loaded firearm in a vehicle, Locklin said.
