UCLA is offering free tickets to Pasadena residents for its inaugural Big Ten Conference football game against Indiana at the Rose Bowl on September 14 as part of a special “Pasadena Resident Ticket Offer.”
The university announced the promotion to celebrate its transition to the Big Ten from the Pac-12 Conference, which expands to 18 teams in the 2024 season.
The game will be UCLA’s first home contest in its new conference.
Pasadena residents can claim up to four free tickets per person, account, or household. The offer is non-transferable, and tickets cannot be resold. Eligible residents must purchase their tickets by the 4:30 p.m. kickoff on game day.
The game will be broadcast on NBC and streamed over Peacock.
This matchup represents the first-ever meeting between UCLA and Indiana in football, adding to the historic nature of the event. It’s not only a sports milestone but also a significant cultural moment for Pasadena residents and UCLA fans, marking a new chapter in the university’s athletic history.
UCLA’s move to the Big Ten is part of a major conference realignment that includes USC, Oregon, and Washington joining the Midwestern-based league.
The Big Ten has implemented a new scheduling model called Flex Protect XVIII, which includes protected rivalries and ensures each team plays every conference opponent at least twice over a five-year period.
The university said that orders not meeting the guidelines will be automatically canceled.
