A 20-year-old woman was rescued from Eaton Canyon on May 12, during a hiking trip with a friend.
The two young women were hiking in Eaton Canyon and drinking alcohol, when the 20-year-old, a Los Angeles resident, passed out.
The second hiker, a 26-year-old from Bell Gardens, called 9-1-1.
Pasadena Fire Department responded to a report of an unconscious female in Eaton Canyon at 7:58 p.m. and requested assistance from the Altadena Mountain Rescue team, which stood by to assist if extra personnel were required.
Both women were transported to Huntington Memorial Hospital by Pasadena emergency medical personnel.
Rescue personnel cleared the scene at 10 p.m.
