The National Weather Service in Los Angeles/Oxnard reported Thursday morning that highs will reach near 83 degrees, about 10 to 15 degrees above normal. Temperatures will drop sharply Friday, with highs near 71 degrees.
Forecasters said Friday’s cooling will be driven by weaker offshore winds and increasing onshore flow. Skies will be partly sunny, and lows will fall to around 49 degrees Friday night.
Saturday will bring sunny skies and highs near 75 degrees. Sunday will warm again, with highs near 80 degrees. Overnight lows will remain in the low 50s.
Rain chances return Monday night, with a slight chance of showers after 4:00 a.m. Tuesday. Rainfall totals are expected to remain under one-third of an inch.
Winds will remain light through the period, shifting directions with daily changes. Forecasters noted weak Santa Ana winds Sunday morning, with gusts below advisory levels.
Pasadena residents can expect temperatures to remain above seasonal averages through the weekend before cooling early next week. No advisories are currently in effect.
