A warm spell will grip Pasadena beginning Friday, with temperatures climbing into the mid-80s through early next week, according to the National Weather Service. Rain is likely to return by Wednesday.

Forecasters said high pressure and offshore winds will push temperatures 10 to 15 degrees above seasonal norms. The warmest days are expected Sunday and Monday, with highs near 85 degrees.

Today’s forecast calls for sunny skies and a high near 73. Winds will remain calm, with increasing cloud cover overnight and a low around 54.

Friday will begin cloudy but clear by midday. The high will reach 82 degrees, with light winds shifting from north to calm. Friday night will be clear with a low around 54.

Saturday will continue the warming trend with sunny skies and a high near 82. Winds will remain light, generally from the north and northeast at 5 mph or less.

Sunday and Monday will be the warmest days of the stretch, with highs near 85 and overnight lows in the upper 50s. Patchy fog may develop Monday night and Tuesday morning.

Rain chances increase Tuesday night and Wednesday. Forecasters expect moderate rainfall to develop by Thursday, with totals possibly ranging from one to three inches. Timing and intensity remain uncertain.

Locally, warm and dry weather may elevate fire risks, especially in foothill areas. Residents are urged to use caution with outdoor ignition sources and follow Pasadena Fire Department updates.

Veterans Day on Tuesday will bring partly sunny skies and a high near 78. Wednesday’s high is expected near 69, with increasing clouds and a chance of showers.

Pasadena will see a sharp warm-up through the weekend, followed by cooler temperatures and likely rainfall late next week.
