A warming trend is expected to grip Los Angeles County in the coming days, with temperatures climbing above normal by the end of the week, according to the National Weather Service.
“Temperatures will generally be within a few degrees of normal today,” said a National Weather Service statement. “[But] a warming trend is expected Wednesday through Friday or Saturday, with above normal temperatures continuing into next week.”
While the heat builds, the region could also see an increase in humidity as monsoonal moisture pushes into the area.
As the week progresses, residents can expect increasingly clear skies inland, with temperatures steadily rising.
The extended period of heat from Thursday or Friday into at least next Tuesday and most likely beyond, the weather service warned.
