Warming Trend to Push Pasadena Temperatures Above Normal Through Next Weekend

Published on Monday, February 17, 2025 | 6:12 am

National Weather Service forecasters are predicting increasingly warm conditions for Pasadena and surrounding areas through the upcoming weekend, with temperatures expected to climb several degrees above seasonal averages under mostly clear skies.

Currently, Pasadena is experiencing typical mid-February conditions with varying amounts of high clouds overhead and temperatures reaching seasonal normals. Light winds are prevailing across the area, with a weak pattern of offshore flow at night switching to onshore breezes during daylight hours.

Over the next 24 to 48 hours, residents can expect a gradual warming trend as a weak ridge of high pressure builds over the West Coast. While some morning clouds may develop Tuesday, they’re expected to clear quickly, giving way to partly cloudy to mostly clear skies. Daytime temperatures will remain steady or inch slightly higher than current levels.

The warming pattern will become more pronounced as the week progresses, with the most significant temperature increases expected by the weekend. This warming trend coincides with a high-pressure ridge strengthening over the region, pushing temperatures notably above mid-February averages.

No precipitation is in the forecast for Pasadena through the remainder of February.

Looking ahead to the weekend, Saturday and Sunday are shaping up to be the warmest days of the period. The high-pressure ridge will be at its strongest, bringing mostly clear skies and notably warm conditions ideal for outdoor activities.
