A woman is accused of breaking into her estranged husband’s home and attacking him with a kitchen knife early Saturday morning, according to police.
Officers responded to a domestic disturbance call at approximately 6:38 a.m. in the 1800 block of Queensbury Road. Upon arrival, they discovered that the suspect had reportedly entered the residence through a window and attacked the victim, resulting in an estimated four-inch laceration to his left hand, according to Pasadena Police Lieutenant Matt Campeau.
The suspect, identified as Krystina Reagh, 39, of Pasadena, was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, residential burglary, domestic violence, and violation of a court order, Campeau said.
Lieutenant Campeau also stated that the victim and suspect are married but currently separated. He mentioned that an active restraining order prohibits the suspect from being at the residence or contacting the victim.
Additionally, the suspect allegedly attempted to stab the victim’s current girlfriend, a 26-year-old Hispanic woman from Pasadena, who was reportedly uninjured in the incident.
Police collected the kitchen knife as evidence and obtained video surveillance of the incident, according to Campeau.
The 41-year-old male victim was transported to a local hospital by the Pasadena Fire Department for treatment.
