Pasadena’s Rent Stabilization Department will host a workshop next week to help landlords prepare for the city’s second annual rental registration period.

The workshop is scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 12, at 6 p.m. at the Los Robles Building at 199 South Los Robles Avenue. Landlords can attend in person or join virtually through Zoom.

The city’s rental registry system requires certain landlords to register their properties annually. The workshop aims to help property owners navigate the registration process more easily.

The rental registration window for fiscal year 2025-2026 opens Monday, Sept. 1, and closes Friday, Oct. 31, 2025.

A statement from the Rent Stabilization Department said the workshop will provide comprehensive details on who must register their rental units. Department staff will offer step-by-step guidance on updating and submitting registration information.

Attendees will learn about important dates, deadlines and tips to avoid common pitfalls. The session will cover consequences of late registration, including when and how late fees may apply.

Property owners will have the opportunity to ask questions and receive direct support from Rent Stabilization staff. The workshop is designed for both single-unit owners and managers of multiple properties.

Questions can be sent by email to RentStabilization@CityOfPasadena.net.
