The respected nonprofit focuses on health and wellness access for children and families.
“Liz and Shelley bring complementary strengths, deep community trust, and a proven record of results,” said Marjorie Diaz, president of the Young & Healthy board of directors.
“They have already re-energized our mission and expanded our ability to meet families’ needs. The board is thrilled to be working with them as our new co-executive directors and excited for the creativity, steadiness, and heart they bring to this new chapter.”
Arnold previously managed an integrated service portfolio as program director, supporting medical, dental, vision and mental health care, insurance enrollment, and initiatives like mindfulness and oral-health education.
She also led partnerships with schools, providers and community groups.
“As a program leader, I’ve had a front-row seat to the resilience of our children and families,” said Liz Arnold, co-executive director.
“This role is an opportunity to deepen that work—expanding direct services, strengthening trauma-informed supports, and meeting families where they are with dignity and care.”
Boyle, as director of development & communications, led major gifts, grants and fundraising while advancing the Young & Healthy brand and community engagement.
She improved donor relationships and increased organizational visibility.
“Our mission is both simple and urgent: remove barriers so kids can be healthy and flourish,” said Shelley Boyle, co-executive director.
“I’m honored to co-lead with Liz and to partner with our staff, board, volunteers and donors to sustain the programs families count on—and to innovate where the need is greatest.”
In their new roles, Arnold will serve as head of programs and strategy, while Boyle will lead development and operations. Together, they oversee direction, culture, and external relations.
Young & Healthy, working with more than 350 volunteer physicians, dentists, mental health professionals and specialists, will continue to: connect residents to no- or low-cost health care; deliver mindfulness and oral-health programs in schools; provide insurance enrollment assistance for Medi-Cal and Covered California; coordinate targeted relief for families in crisis; offer tax preparation support; and deliver trauma-informed care training for community partners.
