32 Maranatha Students and Staff Visit Israel

Maranatha has been committed to taking a group to Israel every other year, so this past June, 32 people made their pilgrimage to the birthplace of Christianity. The 14-hour flight was well worth it for the group of sojourners made up of current and former students, current and former employees, and friends and family members. From the pristine waters of the Sea of Galilee to Herod’s Masada fortress, and from the Garden of Gethsemane in Jerusalem to the ruins at Caesarea, the history, culture, and food shared by the travelers made a lasting impression. One of the students, Anna Bowers ’26, shared, “The Israel trip was amazing! We did so much with the time we had and we really got to see how beautiful Israel is through the sites, churches, nature, and of course food! This trip was a great experience as a tourist, but also so meaningful as a pilgrim coming to the holy land to see where Our Lord Jesus once walked! I learned so much and I definitely want to go again!”
