A Surprise Visit from a Physician’s Assistant Mrs. Abel, a St. Rita Parent
Yesterday, St. Rita School’s 3rd grade class had a surprise guest visit from Mrs. Abel, St. Rita School parent and Physicians Assistant at a hospital. The class learned about how to keep their bodies healthy, making good choices and trusting your heart. Mrs. Abel reminded the kids to stay healthy and maintain a healthy weight, children need to be physically active and eat the right amount of nutrients, and the right amount of sleep, to balance the energy they use.
Healthy eating is essential for good health, growth and development of one’s child. Healthy eating in childhood means they will have less chance of developing chronic diseases like heart disease, type 2 diabetes, obesity and some cancers. It will also mean they feel better, look better and enjoy life more.
St. Rita expresses its thanks to Mrs. Abel for joining them in celebration of Red Ribbon Week!
