Alverno’s 7th Graders Visit Islamic Center of San Gabriel Valley

Ms. Bocanegra’s 7th grade students have been studying the Byzantine and Ottoman Empires and the intersection of Christianity, Judaism, and Islam in social studies. To supplement their studies they recently visited the Islamic Center of San Gabriel Valley in Rowland Heights. They were able to tour the school and mosque, and learned more about how Muslims practice their faith.
