Bosco Tech’s Engineering Chair Paul J. Ramirez Invite Friends from Airborne Systems Company

Bosco Tech’s own Paul J. Ramirez (MS ’02), Materials Science & Engineering Technology chair and instructor, recently invited a few friends to stop by the ASM meeting and speak with all interested students—the friends are Chief Engineers from Airborne Systems Company who explained to the class the beauty, significance, and complexity of parachutes.

They discussed the Mars 2020 parachute, Paratrooper and Intruder Special Forces parachute and wing suits; they also talked about their life journey through school and how they decided to become parachute engineers. The guests also reminded the students that their very own instructor, “Mr. Ramirez built the Mars 2020 chute and gave it the final okay.” Talk about street cred!
