FSHA Triumphs at 2024 Des Moines National Speech & Debate Tournament with Three Awards!

The 2024 Greater Des Moines National Speech & Debate Tournament is underway! Representing Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy (FSHA): Carissa ‘24, Dale ‘26, Leigh ‘24 who met CORNelius—the tournament mascot! FSHA has already snatched three awards:

• FSHA won the The West Los Angeles District Award
• FSHA won the National Participation Award for most schools in attendance in a single district
• And FSHA’s Coach Leilani McHugh won the Excellence in District Leadership Bronze Award

There are more than 12,000 students, coaches, and judges from all over the United States, Canada, China, and Uganda. This is one of the largest academic competitions in the world!
