Immaculate Heart’s Class of 2020 Wears the Freshman Green for Orientation
More than 120 Immaculate Heart High School students eagerly donned shades of green in honor of their freshman status as they participated in last week’s orientation and technology boot camp on campus.
The event brought members of the Class of 2020 together for a friendly “meet and greet” with each other as well as with faculty and staff before the start of classes. Along with learning to sing the school’s Alma Mater for the first time, each student received a new laptop and training as part of Immaculate Heart’s 1:1 computer program. With classes now under way, all first-year students are enrolled in a technology and computer applications class that emphasizes technology as an essential resource and educational tool.
Immaculate Heart High School’s freshmen this year hail from 42 schools, including Immaculate Heart’s own middle school, and represent 56 zip codes in the greater Los Angeles area. At least 41 ninth graders also share family ties with their new school as the siblings, daughters, and/or granddaughters of current and former Immaculate Heart students.
