John Muir High School’s 8th Grade Shadow Day in Pictures

John Muir High School Early College Magnet (JMHS) had their 8th Grade Shadow Day recently for the first time in 2 years! Students from Eliot, Octavia E. Butler, McKinley, Sierra Madre Middle School, as well as a few students from out of the district joined the event on campus for an exciting and informational day about all of the wonderful things happening at JMHS.

Students learned about the three career-focused academies at JMHS. The Arts, Entertainment & Media Academy, the Business & Entrepreneurship Academy, and the Engineering & Environmental Science Academy, as well as its Early College Magnet program were all showcased as students made their way around the campus. They also visited the College and Career Center, Muir Gardens, the Wellness Center, and the Library which had various clubs and other resource organizations present. JMHS thanks all the student volunteers and staff that helped make this Shadow Day a great success!
