Marshall’s Academy for Creative Industries Workshops in Pictures
On November 1, 2023, the Academy for Creative Industries (ACI) held its ACI Day Workshops. Students were assigned to various workshops around campus in the various art concentrations.
Theater presenter, Sam Jay Gold, a Band and Orchestra Workshop presenter MUSE/IQUE, a Dance Workshop presentation by Cat Heinen, a Media Production workshop presented by Bobbie Ferguson, and a Visual Arts presentation by Bianca Ornelas.
Thanks to collaborations with the Light Bringer Project – Pasadena and PUSD College and Career Pathways, Marshall is able to bring arts and production professionals with real-world experiences for its students.
The Academy for Creative Industries is offered to students beginning in 9th grade. It is led by Visual and Performing Arts Department Chair and ACI Lead Teacher, Mr. Luis Rendon, Jr., ACI Counselor Ms. Maria Torres, and ACI Administrator, Ms. Lanisha McKenzie.
The Academy for Creative Industries (ACI) allows students to explore the creative arts industry as they learn and prepare for their college and/or career options. ACI offers real-world experience brings learning to life by motivating and engaging students with knowledge in their area of interest. ACI combines rigorous college preparatory curriculum with strong arts-based technical programs that are student-centered. Students must apply and interview for ACI placement.
