Pasadena High Students Lead Cultural Tours of L.A.’s Historic Asian Neighborhoods

Pasadena High School Asian Studies students are embarking on an exciting, hands-on exploration of historic Asian neighborhoods in Los Angeles as part of their curriculum. Throughout the school year, these students will conduct in-depth research on the cultural and historical significance of various neighborhoods and then share their findings by leading their peers on informational tours.

On Thursday, November 21st, the first of these student-led tours took place in Chinatown, where the group delved into the rich history and vibrant culture of the area. The excursion included a visit to the Chinese American Museum, providing an immersive experience that complemented their classroom studies. This initiative not only deepens the students’ understanding of Asian American heritage but also empowers them to develop leadership and presentation skills in a dynamic, real-world setting.
