Poly’s Upper School Yearbook Course: Navigating Various Digital Artforms
Yearbook is a year-long course in Poly’s Upper School where students learn how to navigate various digital art platforms, develop an eye for graphic design, break out of their comfort zones through interviews with students and faculty, and learn how to collaborate creatively with one another. It is a small class of eight, advised by school photographer and Upper School photography teacher Jennifer Godwin-Minto and led by co-Editors-In-Chief Jackie S. ’22 and Margaret S. ’22. They work hard to create a yearbook that gives students and faculty an opportunity to look back on the year with fondness.
“While the work is challenging and time-consuming, Yearbook is one of the most rewarding things I’ve done on Poly’s campus. I love interviewing sports captains and writing about musical productions. I feel like running the yearbook allows me to be engaged. I am proud to be a part of representing my peers and our year together,” said Jackie S. ’22.
