Ribbon Cutting Ceremony of Marshall Senior Ortega for her Girls Scout Gold Award Monarch Butterfly Pollinator Garden Project



Clara Ortega a Marshall Fundamental rising senior hosted a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for her Girls Scout Gold Award Monarch Butterfly Pollinator Garden Project. The Ribbon Cutting Ceremony was attended by friends, family, school administrators, and local elected officials including Pasadena Unified School District Board of Education Members, Jennifer Hall-Lee and Patrice Marshall-McKenzie.

Clara’s project’s goal is to help slow the drastic decline of Monarchs in the United States and to help beneficial pollinators in the local ecosystem. Clara has spent hours planning and then working on her Girls Scout Gold Award project, the highest and most prestigious award in Girl Scouting. Marshall Fundamental School is proud of Clara and the work she has done in bringing the project to fruition.
