Sequoyah Students Use Trigonometry to Masterfully Design and Execute Laser Maze
Sequoyah School’s Bradley Geometry class, students used trigonometric ratios to plan and execute a laser maze made of precisely-placed and angled mirrors without the use of a protractor. Using the dot-grid paper and their understanding of right-triangle trigonometry, students placed mirrors at precise angles (using just a ruler and a pencil) to reflect a laser across several mirrors toward a target. After spending weeks using trigonometry to precisely design a series of mirrors redirecting a laser across the room, students execute their plan!
