St. Francis Culinary Club’s Creative and Impactful Ways to Serve the Community during the Pandemic

Members of the St. Francis Culinary Club are finding creative and impactful ways to continue serving others during this pandemic. This past weekend, they prepared a meal for the people staying at Ascencia who are transitioning from being homeless to being employed and having their own place to live. In order to maintain physical distancing, the Golden Knights prepared the meal in pieces and delivered their food to Ms. Patterson’s home. The club president, Chance Thomasy ‘22, will pick everything up and deliver it for a nice holiday meal. Here’s what the students prepared for the menu: honey-baked ham, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, fresh cranberry sauce, Christmas cookies, sparkling apple cider. Remember that challenging times force everyone to be creative, courageous and think outside the box.
