St. Francis Golden Knights Secures Back-to-back Division 4 Boys Team Titles at CIF State Cross Country Championships



The St. Francis Golden Knights of La Cañada secured back-to-back Division 4 boys team titles easily defeating Southern Section rival JSerra 66-124 at Woodward Park in Fresno at the CIF State Cross Country Championships. The Golden Knights ran the fastest boys team time in Division 4 history at 79:18.6 and became the first program to repeat since Big Bear won three in a row from 2006-08.

Samuel Franco earned eighth by covering the 5-kilometer layout in 15:24.3, Auge Martin finished 14th in 15:41.5, with Luke Metcalf taking 27th in 16:02.1, Axel Gonzalez achieving 28th in 16:04.5 and Aidan Guzman capturing 30th in 16:06.2 for St. Francis, which also had Aidan Waldron grabbing 118th in 17:25.8 and Stephen Fredericks securing 149th in 18:10.7.
