St. Rita 2nd Graders Embark on Typing Skills Journey

This week, the 2nd graders at St. Rita School (Sierra Madre, CA) began their exciting journey into developing essential typing skills. As part of their introduction, they are learning about proper hand placement and the significance of the “Home Row” keys on the keyboard. By mastering these foundational skills, the students will gradually enhance their familiarity with the keyboard, leading to improved typing speed and accuracy (WPM). Additionally, this practice will support their hand-eye coordination, setting them up for greater success in navigating digital environments as they progress through their academic journey.
