St. Rita School’s Camp Raider – The Place You Want To Be

Camp Raider began on June 26th and will run until July 28th, Monday-Friday. Academics, Enrichments and fun field trips are just some of the activities offered. TK-8th grade campers are immersed in the abundance of activities offered in the program. Campers begin their day with academic exercises including Reading, Writing and Mathematics. They have especially been enjoying writing stories in our technology lab, all while enhancing their typing skills! Camp Raider enrichment programs include Scratch Coding, Music, Sports, Art and Spanish, giving students endless opportunities to learn something new!

Field trips are all part of the experience! On June 29th, campers enjoyed time outdoors and walked to the Sierra Madre Police and Fire Departments. They walked through the facilities, learned about safety, explored the ambulance & fire trucks and counted how many seconds it takes for a firefighter to put on their safety equipment in an emergency!

Campers have more fun field trips to look forward to including trips to the Aquarium of the Pacific, California Science Center, Rockin’ Jump, and Knotts Berry Farm! When students are not on field trips, they are going on scavenger hunts, making home-made ice cream, splashing around on water days, and enjoying learning something new from their special guest visitors! They are really excited to cook with Chef Gresik from The Arbour and tie-dye shirts with our very own, Coach Tavera!
