The free 45-minute cultural presentation, scheduled from 3 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. on November 9, invites community members to experience indigenous traditions that continue to thrive in the Northeast San Fernando Valley.
“All are invited to be moved by their ancestral drums and dance, let their ancestral smoke connect you to their purpose and listen to what they have to share about the importance of indigenous and First Nation people, past and present,” according to the Pasadena Public Library’s event description.
Kalpulli Temachtia Quetzalcoatl, formally recognized as a kalpulli in 2019 after 13 years of operation, has spent nearly two decades serving communities through cultural education.
