The Armory Center for the Arts in Old Pasadena is launching its Summer 2024 Studio program with open lab studio classes in ceramics and darkroom photography. These classes, designed for adults 18 and over, offer participants the opportunity to finish projects or tackle new ones with access to specialized equipment and facilities.

The ceramics open lab will run on Mondays from July 8 to August 26, 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Darkroom photography enthusiasts have multiple options, with Wednesday sessions from July 10 to August 28, 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Saturday sessions for darkroom photography are also available from July 13 to August 31, with two time slots: 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. These flexible schedules aim to accommodate various schedules and preferences.

The Armory Center encourages early registration, as class sizes may be limited. Prospective students can sign up now through the center’s website at armoryarts.org/studio.

Armory members receive a 10% discount on tuition and can register one week early, potentially securing spots in popular classes. Information about membership is available on the center’s website for those interested in these benefits.

These open lab classes are part of the Armory’s broader Summer 2024 Studio program, which includes art classes for children, teens, and adults from July 8 to September 1, 2024. The program reflects the center’s commitment to fostering artistic development in the community.

The Armory Center for the Arts is located at 145 North Raymond Avenue in Old Pasadena. For more, call (626) 792-5101 or visit https://www.armoryarts.org/
