The Artazan Handcraft Market — a thoughtfully assembled handcraft showcase that’s drawn artisans from across California — closes tonight, and the smart money says the good stuff goes early. Two hundred independent artisans, designers and tradespeople are set up in Hall B of the Convention Center, and the inventory that survived Saturday is the inventory you came for.
The roster: hand-thrown ceramics, artisan jewelry, painters and fine art, textiles and wearable fiber, home décor, and a tasting circuit that includes CocoTutti Chocolates, Haven Stead Winery, and TootSweet Bake Shop. From 1 to 3 p.m., Lizbeth Navarro runs a beginner-friendly clay workshop ($65 class, $20 kit) — terracotta vessels, planters, decorative pieces, all walk-out ready.
Aaron Copenhaguen plays live throughout the hall. Free painting and clay demos run all day, and opportunity drawing tickets are free at the door.
Bonus points for a closing-day quirk: many makers discount what they’d rather not pack out. A second lap is rarely a waste.
Go early, bring a tote, and settle into checkout by 4:45 — the booths you wish you’d revisited will be gone in flash.
