In a rare behind-the-scenes opportunity, Pasadena’s Rose Bowl Stadium is offering holiday tours the day after Christmas, allowing visitors to explore the historic venue before its upcoming College Football Playoff game.
The guided tours on Thursday, Dec. 26, 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., will take guests through several iconic areas of this National Historic Landmark, including the original 1922 locker room and press facilities.
Visitors will walk the same paths as legendary figures, from Notre Dame’s famed Four Horsemen to soccer star Brandi Chastain, who secured victory for the United States in the 1999 FIFA Women’s World Cup Final at the venue.
The tour, which may take up to two hours, includes stops at the current locker rooms and the Court of Champions, though tour locations may be adjusted based on ongoing stadium operations.
Stadium officials require proper attire to maintain a family-friendly environment, and recommend checking local weather reports as portions of the tour occur outdoors.
Visitors are advised to arrive 15 minutes before their scheduled tour time and wear comfortable walking shoes for this journey through the Rose Bowl Stadium, which continues preparing for its January 1st CFP game.
The historic venue stands as a living monument to American sports history, offering tourists a glimpse into nearly a century of athletic achievements through these exclusive tours.
