A two-day antiquarian book fair bringing together more than 70 international exhibitors will transform Old Pasadena into a marketplace for rare literary treasures February 21-22, 2026.

Rare Books LA — Pasadena will occupy both the historic Raymond Theatre and the ballroom of the neighboring Courtyard by Marriott, offering collectors and casual bibliophiles access to antiquarian books, fine prints, maps, ephemera, and artists’ books from London, Paris, Vienna, Melbourne, New York, and cities across the United States and Canada.

“Rich in history and culture, the Raymond Theatre is the perfect venue to feature the world’s leading booksellers,” said Jodi Tolan, director of Rare Books LA.

“It’s Coachella for book lovers!”

The fair will be preceded by a special fundraiser evening Friday, February 20, featuring Monty Python’s Eric Idle discussing his book “The Spamalot Diaries” at Pasadena Heritage’s Blinn House.

The event benefits The Book Club of California, a nonprofit founded in 1912.

“The Spamalot Diaries” was hailed as one of NPR’s best books of the year and a semifinalist for the Thurber Prize for American Humor in Writing.

The fundraiser begins with a 5:30 p.m. reception followed by a 6:30 p.m. program.

Attendees receive a signed copy and free fair tickets.
