Runners, walkers, and their dogs can join a free group run tonight at Run With Us, the specialty running store on Lake Avenue that has served Pasadena’s fitness community for more than two decades.
The Monday Fun Run begins at 6:00 p.m. in the parking lot behind the store at 235 North Lake Avenue Participants can choose a 4-mile or 6-mile running route, or a 2-mile walking route. All paces are welcome.
The weekly event offers something unusual: participants can test the latest running shoes from various brands during the run. Monthly prizes are awarded to participants.
Run With Us opened in 1999, according to the store’s Yelp profile, and specializes in personalized shoe fitting using gait analysis. The store has been named “Best of Pasadena” for 13 consecutive years, according to its website. Staff includes high school and college coaches and experienced runners.
The Monday Fun Run meets at the store most weeks, but on the first Monday of each month, the group gathers at the Rose Bowl instead. Tonight’s run meets at the Lake Avenue location.
The event is free and requires no registration. Run With Us is open Monday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. More information is available at clubrunwithus.com or by calling (626) 568-3331.
