David Garrett, a cellist with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, and pianist Junko Ueno Garrett will perform a free 30-minute concert in the sanctuary at Pasadena Presbyterian Church on Wednesday at 12:10 p.m., taking the weekly Music at Noon slot as the Belrose Duo.

The two are married and perform cello and piano recitals as the Belrose Duo, including several tours in the United States and Japan. The series notes that “Artists are subject to change.”

Garrett joined the Los Angeles Philharmonic in 2000, after tenures with the orchestras of Houston, San Antonio, Shreveport, New Orleans and Grand Rapids. He teaches at the Bob Cole Conservatory of Music at Cal State Long Beach and is an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Pasadena.

Ueno Garrett is a part-time piano instructor at Occidental College and a Kawai artist. She is president of the Pasadena chapter of the Music Teachers National Association.

Music at Noon presents local and visiting performers in free thirty-minute concerts every Wednesday in the sanctuary at Pasadena Presbyterian Church, established in 1875 as the city’s first church. The series is directed by Anita Protich and continues Sept. 23 with pianist Hui Wu and Sept. 30 with jazz guitarist Joe LoPiccolo.

The Belrose Duo performs on the Music at Noon series on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, from 12:10 to 12:40 p.m. in the sanctuary at Pasadena Presbyterian Church, 585 E.
