Lucky Boy is hitting the road—literally.

The beloved 60-year-old Pasadena restaurant is bringing its full culinary arsenal to the Elks Lodge Car Show this weekend via a massive 20-by-10-foot mobile kitchen that proves you don’t need four walls to serve restaurant-quality breakfast.

“The purpose of the mobile kitchen is to bring Lucky Boy to you,” said Christina Karagias of Lucky Boy. “It’s a gourmet kitchen. So we can do everything that we do at Lucky Boy on our mobile kitchen. That’s very unique.”

The restaurant will serve breakfast from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Sunday, January 11, at the Elks Lodge monthly car show at 400 W. Colorado Blvd.

The menu includes French toast, egg sandwiches, breakfast burritos, a full breakfast plate with eggs, bacon, hash browns and toast, plus orange juice. Gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan options will also be available.

“The Elks is a wonderful charitable organization and they invited us to participate in their monthly car show,” Karagias said. “And our role is to make the best, tastiest foods serve fast for the visitors at the car show.”

The mobile kitchen allows Lucky Boy to replicate its entire 250-item menu at any location. The restaurant has traveled as far north as Napa for events.

“We use high-quality meats. We use fresh, cage-free jumbo eggs. We marinate our meats. Everything’s hand-chopped and we really take good care of our food — we make sure no one leaves hungry,” Karagias said.

The car show requires no entry fee and will feature vehicles ranging from antique to modern, including custom-built cars.

For those interested in booking the mobile kitchen, Karagias offered a simple message: “Invite us and we will come.”
