[UPDATED/Editor’s Note] Armenian Festival is Canceled Due to Rain Forecast; Spring Rescheduling Under Consideration. Organizers have canceled the Armenian festival scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 15, 2025, in front of Pasadena City Hall, citing forecasts of potentially heavy rainfall.
Pasadena Now confirmed the decision Thursday afternoon, with organizers expressing concern for attendee safety and logistical complications posed by inclement weather. The outdoor event had been expected to draw hundreds for cultural performances, food, and community celebration.
Organizers said they are considering rescheduling the festival in the spring, though no new date has been confirmed. Updates will be shared once plans are finalized.
The 2nd Annual Pasadena Armenian Festival will bring together food, performances, and crafts celebrating Armenian heritage at Centennial Plaza in front of Pasadena City Hall on Saturday, November 15, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The free event, organized by 30 Armenian organizations from Pasadena and the San Gabriel Valley, will feature vendors offering traditional Armenian food, handcrafted jewelry, and artwork. Performances by local students, choirs, dance academies, karate schools, and music institutes will showcase community talent.
“Armenians have been in Pasadena since the 1890s, and we have here 30 Armenian-American organizations, churches or groups that have an office or a foundation in Pasadena, or in the greater San Gabriel Valley,” said Mihran Toumajan of the Pasadena Armenian Festival Organization during last year’s inaugural event.
This year’s festival moves from Victory Park, where the inaugural event was held in 2024, to the more central City Hall location at 100 North Garfield Avenue. Street parking is free.
Last year’s inaugural festival distributed proceeds to three local Armenian schools: Sahag-Mesrob Armenian Christian School, Alfred and Marguerite Hovsepian School, and Levon & Hasmig Tavlian Preschool & Kindergarten.
