Regional Branch Manager of PFCU Diana Herrera attends City of Pasadena event honoring Women’s History Month and the ongoing fight for workplace equity.
In honor of Women’s History Month, the City of Pasadena’s Commission on the Status of Women hosted HERstory 2026: The Path Forward for Pay Equity, a community gathering dedicated to advancing meaningful conversations around closing the gender pay gap and building more equitable workplaces. Among those in attendance was Diana Herrera, Regional Branch Manager of Pasadena Federal Credit Union (Pasadena FCU), who joined community members, advocates, and local leaders for an afternoon of education, reflection, and connection.
The event featured a compelling panel discussion on the persistent wage disparities that continue to affect women across industries, as well as excerpts from Lilly, a film that chronicles the real-life story of Lilly Ledbetter—the Alabama woman whose quiet determination and decades-long fight against pay discrimination ultimately led to the passage of the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act of 2009. Her story, and the film that brings it to life, served as both a reminder of how far the conversation on pay equity has come and a call to action for the work that still lies ahead.
One of the evening’s standout moments for Herrera was the opportunity to connect personally with Rachel Feldman, the director of Lilly. “Meeting Rachel made the whole experience even more impactful,” Herrera reflected. “Her dedication to telling Lilly Ledbetter’s story—and doing it with such care and conviction—was truly inspiring. It was a privilege to once again sponsor an incredible event presented by the Pasadena Commission on the Status of Women annual HERStory event, The Path Forward for Pay Equity.”
For Pasadena FCU, participation in events like HERstory 2026 is more than a show of support—it reflects the credit union’s deep-rooted commitment to the community it serves. “We are proud to support events that uplift, educate, and empower our community,” said Rick Flores, Social Impact Manager of PFCU. “Women’s History Month is a time to celebrate progress, acknowledge the women who came before us, and renew our commitment to the work still to be done.”
A Partner in Your Financial Journey — Every Month of the Year
While Women’s History Month may come once a year, the conversations it sparks—about fairness, opportunity, and financial well-being—deserve a home year-round. At Pasadena FCU, that home already exists.
Whether you are navigating a career transition, building savings toward a major goal, buying your first home, or simply looking for a financial partner who genuinely has your best interests at heart, Pasadena FCU is here. Their team understands that financial empowerment is not a one-size-fits-all journey—and they are ready to meet you wherever you are on yours.
The women of this community are builders, caregivers, innovators, and leaders. They deserve a financial institution that shows up for them not just in March, but every single day.
