The free program, running from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., invites children and families to create Halloween-themed designs using fuse beads.
According to the official library announcement, participants can “come join us and create a SPOOKtacular fuse bead craft! All supplies provided.”
The event is part of the Pasadena Public Library’s fall and Halloween programming.
Fuse beads are small plastic beads that fuse together when heated. Originally developed for therapeutic use with elderly patients, they became popular children’s craft supplies. The beads allow crafters to create colorful pixelated designs by arranging them on pegboards and melting them together with an iron.
The Santa Catalina Branch Library is located at 999 E. Washington Blvd. in Pasadena.
The library encourages those requiring accessibility accommodations to contact the branch in advance. According to library policy, “providing at least 72 hours advance notice will help ensure availability.”
All craft supplies will be provided free of charge.
Spooky Fuse Beads! will run on Thursday, October 16, from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Santa Catalina Branch Library, 999 E. Washington Blvd. in Pasadena.
