Pasadena Symphony to Perform Tchaikovsky’s “Pathétique”

Ambassador Auditorium faces uncertain future as Pasadena Symphony prepares Feb. 21 performances of "Pathétique"

The Pasadena Symphony will present Tchaikovsky’s haunting Symphony No. 6 “Pathétique” on February 21 at Ambassador Auditorium.

Conductor Brett Mitchell will lead pianist Michelle Cann in performances at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m., featuring Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 23, Jeffrey Nytch’s “Beacon” and Tchaikovsky’s final symphony.​

Classical KUSC host Brian Lauritzen will lead a free pre-concert “Insights” dialogue with Mitchell one hour before each performance.​​
