Pasadena to Host Fifth Annual Older Americans Month Celebration

City of Pasadena, Senior Commission, and Pasadena Village invite community to Victory Park for a day of health, wellness, and senior resources.

The City of Pasadena Parks, Recreation and Community Services (PRCS) Department, in collaboration with the Senior Commission and Pasadena Village, is set to host its fifth annual Older Americans Month Celebration. This free community event, scheduled for Wednesday, May 20, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Victory Park, aims to showcase the myriad resources available to older adults in Pasadena.

The celebration, themed “Champion Your Health” for 2026, will underscore the importance of prevention, wellness, and personal responsibility in healthy aging. Attendees are encouraged to actively manage their health, advocate for themselves, access preventive care, and make informed decisions to support their independence. The event promises a dynamic program, commencing with remarks from local public officials, followed by a series of engaging activities and presentations.

More than 50 exhibitors will be on hand, offering valuable information and services. The day’s schedule includes a Senior Fitness Demo by the Rose Bowl Aquatics Center at 11:00 AM, Chair Yoga by the City of Pasadena Parks and Recreation at 11:30 AM, and a vibrant Dance for Joy performance by the Lineage Performing Arts Center at 12:00 PM. The Pasadena Conservatory of Music will cap off the performances with an Adult Ensemble at 12:30 PM. Giveaways and food will also be part of the festivities, making it a comprehensive and enjoyable experience for all.
